Synopsis
At the beginning of Xian Feng year, the eldest master of Qiao Family in Shan Xi who named Qiao Zhi Guang, faced the failures in his business and died of a serious disease. Qiao Family's finance getting worst due to the several investment deals that Qiao Zhi Guang had done in order to compete with Qiu Family before he died. Just after the death of Qiao Zhi Guang, all the shareholders and merchants came to claim shares and debts. There is no other merchant who willing to loan money and help Qiao Family to overcome this financial crisis, but to pry about the division of Qiao Family's estate instead. Qiao Zhi Guang's wife send someone to summon the second master, Qiao Zhi Yong who sitting for the imperial examination back from Tai Yuan immediately and forced him to break up with Jiang Xue Ying who was his childhood playmate and current lover, so that he can married Lu Yu Han, the daughter of Lu Da Ke who known as "Shan Xi stingiest man", in order to take over the family business and in charge of the households. However, Qiang Zhi Yong is neither willing to be a businessman nor marries Lu Yu Han. However, Qiao Zhi Yong reluctantly agreed to accomplish the will and hope of Qiao Family members for the sake of Qiao Family's prosperity...
